135 tisíc čtenářů časopisu T3 zvolilo jako nejlepší gadget tohoto roku Androidí HTC Hero. V T3 při té příležitosti označili HTC Hero jako “jewel in the Android crown” (tedy jako “klenot v Androidí koruně”) a my nemůžeme než souhlasit – HTC Hero je podle nás hardwarově nejvybavenějším telefonem od HTC vůbec (i když stále je co zlepšovat) a Android je suverénně nejlepším operačním systémem současnosti. Čtenáři T3 ocenili HTC Hero zároveň také jako nejlepší mobilní telefon roku 2009. Operační systé Android pak zvítězil také v kategorii Launch of the Year.
Ani největší konkurent HTC Hero, iPhone, neodešel z cen s prázdnou. Čtenáři vybrali iPhone jako Commuter Gadget of the Year a Gadget You Can’t Live Without.
